Always been drawn to the craft of shoemaking, the famous designer grew up in the outskirts of Rimini, Italy, a town with a community helmed for its long history of high-end Italian shoemaking. He said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia that he “has always been obsessed with shoes”, also pointing out that the first pair he was obsessed with were his mother’s.
Eventually, he pursued the career as a freelance women’s shoes designer which he got recognition designing for top fashion houses and luxury brands.
In 1994 Spring time, Zanotti presented his first Giuseppe Zanotti collection in New York City to a few chosen fashion editors and retailers. And in 2000, the very first Giuseppe Zanotti boutique opened in Milan.
In 2016, Giuseppe Zanotti opened its 100th flagship store in Shanghai, China.
